Job purpose:

  • Steering a clear and transparent profit driven decision process to improve the performance (Sales, Profit, and Stock) of the international sourced ranges.
  • Support the Head of Category Management for the category of Electronics to
    • Develop in a first step together with MCC Russia and MCC DE an international sourced ranges which than in a second step can be offered to the remaining MCC countries.
    • ensure that international own brand ranges will not be duplicated by the countries by local sources (One Need One Source).
    • identify with Metro Cash and Carry country organisations the assortment which can be changed to an international assortment (focus to move local own-brand and B&C brands into the international assortment).
  • Identify local sources which could be used to deliver international ranges and communicate to the colleagues of Metro Sourcing.
  • Support article creation process with execution of required steps within critical path. From transcription of agreed specifications including services into sourcing brief to enable product on shelves with all necessary intermediary steps within the right system.
  • Enable easy and efficient access to the OB ranges of other MCC countries through the development and maintenance of transparent and comprehensive communication and supply chain processes (catalogue, ordering calendar, collection meeting,…).
  • Identify and participate in the maintenance of master data accuracy.
  • Administrative support, follow up of meetings and write meeting minutes.


  • Good knowledge of respective category / merchandise groups
  • Excellence knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Power Point)                   
  • Excellent German and English skills, other languages skills would be a plus
  • Good commercial knowledge and reasonable experience in comparable job
  • High level of independence working           
  • Ability to adapt to new culture and people
  • Diplomatic personality with strong ability of conflict management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Energetic and driven with a real hands on approach to the job
